[Update] Yuzuru Hanyu's Ex Wife Mayuko Suenobu's Rumors Of Lying About Her Past Turn Out To Be False
On April 8th, Suenobu posted to Instagram.
"I found my Diploma award from 'International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians', after a long while at home, I'm overwhelmed by the memories of nostalgia."
The staff in charge of the competition at NPO had this to say: "Suenobu, without a doubt, was awarded a diploma".
In Suenobu's post the award says "2004", so there's no doubt she was awarded at the Kurashiki competition in 2004. So then why were the years 2004 and 2003 mixed up? It seems like the details of the situation are related to the special circumstances of the Kurashiki competition.
"The Kurashiki competition was originally scheduled to be held in 2003 but it was postponed till 2004 due to issues with the organizer. It was a big problem since the participants were preparing for the competition. Kurashiki city held an official press conference to aplogize for the postponement. Some promotions for the competition had the year 2003 on them. The people who wrote the article maybe confused it for the adult 'International Tchaikovsky Competition'?"
