Mariko Shinoda Marries Without Dating

On February 20th, former AKB48 member and actress Mariko Shinoda (32) announced on her official site’s fan club that she married a non-celebrity man who’s 3 years younger than her on the 16th.

Shinoda commented “Last October, we met at a dinner party and he proposed to me on our first meal together” confessing that they had a surprisingly fast relationship. “While having meals with his friends twice, we surprisingly ended up having a lot in common like eating brown rice where we grew up, the image of our ideal type of family, our views for the future and so on, I was able to be myself when we were together and even without actually dating him, I could easily imagine being married. I want to be with him for the rest of my life” she wrote.
