Kamen Joshi Tomoka Igari Paralyzed After Suffering Hit From Signboard

Tomoka Igari from the idol group Kamen Joshi announced she was hospitalized after being hit by a signboard in April. The signboard damaged her spinal cord, paralyzing both of her legs and leaving her in a wheelchair for now. Tomoka went into immediate surgery after the accident caused by the strong wind.

She suffered multiple injuries including eyelid laceration, head injury, spinal cord injury and fractures (legs, ribs, thoracic vertebrae, lumbar vertebrae).

“I will look forward. Don’t be worried about me anymore. Please continue to look after me. And, I’d be happy if we can walk together. From now on and always, thank you”
