Alina Zagitova Names Her Gifted Akita Dog From Japan
Alina Zagitova said she saw a picture of an Akita dog in a magazine, so she told her mom “I want (an Akita)!” and her mom replied “If you get good results at the Olympics, I’ll think about it”
The Akita Dog Preservation Society expressed their desire to present the 15 year old figure skater with her very own Akita. “It’s very happy news. My parents aren’t opposed to it but my grandma is still thinking about it” Zagitova said. She needs her grandma’s permission because they live together.
Alina currently owns a cat and two chinchillas, “I want a big dog like a Akita to protect me” since she only has smaller animals.
Later, Alina Zagitova announced she'll name her new girl Akita ‘Masaru’ meaning victory in Japanese.
